Annual River Float and Weed PullJoin the community to help remove noxious weeds from the banks of the Stillwater River!
Each year, a team of volunteers takes to rafts and scours around 6 miles of the Stillwater River, looking for noxious weeds to remove. These efforts help protect the valley from invasions and allow hands-on experience for community members to give back to their environment. Most of the weeds pulled are spotted knapweed, a common invader in the corridor. In past years, 20-30 volunteers annually collect 30+ trash bags of noxiuos weeds while spending a fun day on the Stillwater River. If you are interested in joining our next float, fill out the interest form to RSVP or contact the watershed council using our contact form or email us at [email protected]. |
